Practicing How To Hit The Ball Using A Golf Club

Fixing a golf swing slice is rather hard even for the experienced golfers. People always tell this and that and try to help but sometimes it just doesn't work that way because there are things that work for one person and yet it doesn't work for another. So, instead of following conflicting advice from different people, step up and look for yourself.

Instead of watching other people play, comparing yourself and pointing out things that you think is wrong with how you play, why don't you just watch your own play instead? Film yourself or ask someone to film you. That way, you can easily observe all of your moves and take note of the things that might affect your play in a bad way.

Examine yourself as a whole. Commit to memory the way you position yourself, the way you move you arms and the manner when you are hitting off a target. Then find the solution to whatever it is that you think you did wrong.

Then there is the stance. One wrong positioning and your good play will all go down the drain. The shoulders must be up and in proper alignment with the target. Do not position yourself too far from the ball. Stand where you're supposed to be before taking a swing. The right foot should be pointed straight while the left foot should be positioned slightly to the left.

Being calm while playing is also a crucial factor when playing the game. Do not try to do as what others are doing because this may intervene with how you play. You have to remember that what works for them may not work to anyone else. If you position yourself too rigidly then it is more likely that the game is over.

The next one is how to perform a good backswing and downswing. When preparing for a backswing, start with your arms and then your shoulders. Take note of the positioning of your elbow as well. If the swing is too tense, your right elbow might be in an awkward position called the 'flying right elbow', which might also affect the left one and move into a 'chicken wing position'. It is rather awkward for the swing. After making sure that the elbows are in a complimenting position, also make sure that the hips and arms is in the right position. Keep your eyes on the ball the whole time.

Playing golf is not that easy especially if you do not have the patience to improve your style. There are some training manuals on controlling the golf swing slice.

There are also different training guides and strategies available to control the unwanted golf swing slice. Do not just listen to the advice of other people because some techniques that work for a person does not mean it could always work for another. Perseverance is always one of the keys to progress.
