The Varying Forms Of Keynote Speakers And Their Strengths At Conferences

By Eloise Solomon

There are so many different keynote speakers to choose from. However making the correct decision from all the choice is pinnacle as to the success of your event. It is always worth seeking the help of a speakers agency who will be able to recommend and source the best keynote speaker for you.

Motivational speakers are the most common form. Motivational speakers, no surprise to be had, motivate their audience! Motivational speakers use a variety of techniques to do their job. Some do the very basics- dispelling myths about fear and anxiety and getting the audience to believe in themselves. The smarter motivational speaker will be well versed in psychology and will apply psychological techniques to help them. Motivational speakers tend now to publish their own book to back up their speech. From personal experience motivational speakers vary in effectiveness. The very simple approach, I have always found a little misleading. Think of the money a motivational speaker has- of course they don't have every day worries like money! Success has already came to their door. The better motivational speakers are a little more grounded and realistic.

On the other hand, a business speaker is a far more serious person. A good example of a business speaker is a successful entrepreneur. Business speakers are specifically tailored to help business owners and employees. They will cover a variety of techniques from marketing, to productivity to employment law.

The comedy speaker is far more fun! A comedy speaker's job is to make the audience laugh! You will normally find a comedy speaker at the top table of a business event. Typically, the comedy speaker comes on first to warm the audience up. A sports speaker will then for example, follow as the main event.

There are many, many sports speakers! In fact most sportsmen or women that haven't gone into media or coaching can be found on the after dinner circuit! Former footballer are always in great demand. What is great about a sports speaker is they really appeal to the audience. A retired footballer may well have been the hero of many of the audience when they were playing, and thus the audience is rivetted to hear of their tales of success.

Inspirational speakers are very similar to motivational speakers. The only difference, is that the inspirational speaker can better inspire the audience. An inspirational speaker has normally managed to achieve something out of this world. They simply recall their story to the audience who are glued to the speaker. An inspirational story puts your own life in perspective. It makes you question just what is stopping you achieving great things!
