The hCG diet menu is fairly straight forward, you have several rules you have to follow but once you learn what they are you should find it easier to understand. This weight loss program was designed for rapid weight loss. The program consists of three phases and promises rapid weight loss by the end of the second phase.

Phase one last for two days where you are supposed to eat foods that are high in fat. Yes you read that correctly high in fat, so your body avoids entering starvation mode upon moving onto the next stage. You also need to be drinking at least 2 liters of water a day and walk for one hour. You will be taking the drops during this loading phase also.

During the second phase of this weight loss program you are on a strict regimen of only 500 calories. This phase last from 25 -60 days depending on what your target weight goal is. During this time you are also taking the Human Chronic Gonadotropin drops, walking for one hour, and getting at least 2 liters of water each day. When you reach the last three days you will discontinue use of the drops to prepare your system for the last phase.

The maintenance phase is the third stage. Your body needs to balance and level out its metabolic rate so you should follow each and every rule during this phase. You are allowed 1500 calories in this stage and are allowed 3 snacks. Even though you have more calories to work with you should avoid eating foods that contain unnatural sugars and starches.

During all of these phases you are allowed to drink your breakfast. You can choose to drink tea, coffee, or pure water. There are several different types of teas you can have but as with the coffee they should be organic and mixed with pure water. Do not add anything to these drinks.

When choosing your protein you can pick from skinless chicken, fish that is low in mercury, or lean red meats, all should be organic. You need to choose a different protein for lunch and for dinner.

The rule for choosing vegetables is fairly limited. You can choose from radishes, fennel, cucumbers, onions, tomatoes, cabbage, celery, chard, chicory, beet greens, or green salad. But once again you need to choose a different vegetable for both lunch and dinner making sure to stay away from butter and dressings.

You are allowed snacks during phase 3 and there are several options to choose from like apples, grapefruit, strawberries, some meats, or cottage cheese. You can have 3 snacks a day but have to include them in the 1500 calorie allowance.

In the beginning the hCG diet menu seems very complicated but if you invest the time in learning what you can and cannot eat you will be successful in meeting your targeted weight.
