Sauna Belts Not Wonderful For Fat Loss

By Caroline Dean

Sauna belts are a new-fangled electrical device that have been hitting the television infomercials recently. There are a few diverse claimed benefits surrounding them, and while many of these supposed health benefits may be overtly exaggerated it's still a relevant topic with at least enough merit to make it worth discussing in a logical way in order to elucidate what the honest truth is. These sauna belts are pretty cheap and come in different formats. There exists two leading competitors in this arena: the velform, and the sauna pro 3 belt.

Many fitness forums have made fun of these sauna belts for the claims on their website. Lose weight while you watch TV, without even moving! While you can be sure some of the assertions suggesting you could lose weight without any exercise you can be assured are most certainly patently false, it is important to keep in mind that whenever your heart pumps extra this does necessitates extra energy input. Though, it is highly likely, you'd never begin to reach, while wearing the belt, the heart rate of a man or woman in a full sized sauna, or less likely yet, a man or woman jogging on a treadmill.

Most weight lost through sauna use, or by the sauna belt would consist of just water weight. Even if you did lose real amounts of weights from the use of either, you would be far more likely to notice loss of fluids on a weight scale before anything else, and this fact is most likely the the origin for the unabashedly sharp criticism. Sauna belts range anywhere from twenty dollars up to two hundred. If I was going to give it a shot, I'd assuredly go with the least costly type.

There's one reasonable make use of a sauna belt like those mentioned that might make some sense. They could likely be utilized to apply warmth to the midsection or lower back as a treatment for various pains. Suffering from pain of the back may significantly reduce a person's quality of life, as well as reduce the number of hours you can spend working. Thus, pain can also reduce income. Using a sauna belt in order to help with pain problems seems like a reasonably legitimate use of the belt, and may be specially suited for people who spend many hours at a desk.

Do be careful that if you do buy a sauna belt, you choose a belt with an automatic shut-off mechanism to avoid the risk of electrical fire caused by belt left unattended. Most sauna belts, velform for example, do come with an automatic shut-off mechanism that kicks on around at right around 60 minutes. Do keep in mind, however, that expecting these machines will aid you in weight loss is a bit of a long shot, however if you need localized heat in your waist they are a fantastic investment.
